Terms of Service

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information in your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Minors may participate only with a parent or legal guardian who registers and signs on their behalf.

Cycling and outdoor activities carry inherent risks. Participation requires a signed waiver, release and assumption of risk agreement. You are responsible for your own safety, equipment, and compliance with applicable traffic laws, including mandatory helmets and lights. Ride leaders and volunteers act in good faith but are not responsible for your safety.

Paid memberships and event fees are billed through our payment provider. Recurring memberships renew until cancelled. Except where required by law or expressly stated, fees and donations are non-refundable. Member benefits, including partner deals, may change over time.

Spots are subject to capacity and may be waitlisted. We may cancel, reschedule, or modify rides and events — including for weather or safety — and will make reasonable efforts to notify registrants.

You agree not to misuse the Services, interfere with their operation, attempt unauthorized access, or use them for unlawful purposes. Treat other riders, staff, and the community with respect.

The Common Empire name, logo, site content, routes, and materials are owned by us or our licensors and may not be used without permission. Content you submit remains yours, but you grant us a licence to use it to operate and promote the Services.

The Services rely on third-party providers for payments, email, mapping, and location data. Their availability and terms are outside our control, and links to third-party sites are provided for convenience.

The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Common Empire is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services or participation in any activity. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
